My husband told me yesterday and again today that he is glad that I am his!! Wow!! I'm speechless!!

VACATION TIME

It is that time of year, well not really because any time of year to me is a good vacation time, but anyway, this is where I will be on July 1, 2011, with my honey!! We have tickets to see Darius Rucker and Marty Stuart, and others. They have not yet posted the full list of who will be there on that day, but I am excited!!

Then we will be taking the Natchez Trace from Nashville, Tennessee all the way down to Natchez, Mississippi. I have wanted to do this for a long time and we had actually planned to ride the Trace on the motorcycles, but it is way too hot to put on a helmet and we didn't want to put the trip off, so we will be going in the truck - the one with air conditioning, the motorcycles don't have air conditioning!! Looking foward to seeing things/scenery like these:

DREAM

It has been a dream of mine and my husband's for a long time now, for me to be able to retire and us hit the road traveling around our great United States. I have no retirement in my job, so that's not a reason to stay and work toward any particular point in time. My husband is already retired and has been for years, so he tells me he is free to go when I get ready. I have been ready for a long time, but just kept feeling the need to work. Well, at least until our baby daughter graduated from high school. That has occurred now, so now I really have no excuse. Although, I would like to have some money saved before we hit the road.

I am looking at working for only another 6 months to a year and then I am out of here, hopefully!!

I want to see the wonders of our great nation, in person, not in someone else's photos.

In our family, our animals have always been considered as family. I know, weird. Saturday, one of our family members, Diesel Man, went on to live with Jesus. So glad you are now healed big buddy and now you know what it is to run with the big dogs!! You are beautiful Diesel Man, try not to slobber too much on Jesus!!
